About
Join us on Thursday, April 23, for an Artist Talk and demo with Kari Achatz. Enjoy refreshments while you mix and mingle and learn an art technique from Kari herself.
Kari is an artist who lives and teaches in Buffalo, New York. She holds a BS in Art Education with a minor in painting from Daemen College (2007). She also holds an M.S in Art Education from SUNY Buffalo ( 2011). Kari has been teaching visual arts in WNY since 2009, and has been teaching at Nichols School since 2016 , where she is also the Flickinger Gallery Curator.
Kari is a multidisciplinary artist working across sculpture, installation, print, and mixed media. Her practice centers on the physical act of cutting-removing, revealing and layering—as both process and metaphor. Kari has works in her photo sculpture style in the Buffalo AKG permanent art collection.
