The faculty at Nichols is the reason I became a teacher.
Specifically,
Roddy Potter, Larry Desautels, and Dr. Hugh Rheingold four teaching me how two rite.
Mr. Mendenhall for passing me in science when I couldn't even pronounce the word photosynthesis.
Mr. Waltz and Mr. Cockren (sp?) for spending countless X periods and afternoons after school with my struggling self.
Mr. McCarthy for having great patience with me in history class when I was unable to name which two countries fought in our civil war.
Senor Moscov y Senora Stack por ensenarme espanol.
Mr. Kramer for assisting me in the college application process (I got in!)
The faculty at Nichols is what makes this place special.

I am grateful to so many at Nichols, but especially to Steve Moscov. We did not meet until my final year, but he became for me a role model in so many ways at school and beyond, as a musician, a scholar, a teacher, a performer and a human being. The kindness, wisdom, and skills he imparted in more ways than I can count are with me to this day more than 40 years later.

My donation in honor of Miss Thea, our ballet teacher, was submitted today. Thea taught me how to dance. She was also fluent in seven languages, and taught me how to appreciate Opera, and respect others who were different from the typical Nichols folk. In honor of Kim Kimberly, Chuck Ptak, RonMon, Tim Schwartz, Rob Greene - these particular individuals made my success as a student/musician/athlete possible. Mr. Kim was the kindest soul, and helped me with his wisdom and kindness through enormous challenges in MS. I miss him daily. Chuck, RonMon, Tim, and Rob were constant advocates and supporters in both a coaching and academic role. Their impact molded my current mindset of coaching/teaching. I am eternally grateful for their guidance, without which I wouldn't be where I am today.

Mr. Stratton not only pushed me in the classroom but in athletics as well.
